A Highly Rated Chateauneuf From Vieux Telegraphe

Domaine Du Vieux Telegraphe Chateauneuf-du-Pape Telegramme 2016
Very complex and composed. Bright aromas of wild, red-berries and herbs. Some blueberry pastry, too. Plush, ripe and concentrated palate with long, smooth, ripe and powerful tannins. Great depth and detail. Fresh, red-berry and plum flavours run riot on the finish. Drink or hold.

My Favorite Syrah for The Holidays

New Vintage – Market Favorite

2015 Alban Vineyards Patrina Syrah

$49.00/Bottle

Moving to the 2015 reds, the 2015 Patrina shows beautifully from barrel and even better from bottle, which is always a good sign. There’s not much of it, but it’s a magnificent Syrah loaded with notions of cassis, blackberries olive tapenade, and ground pepper. Possessing awesome purity of fuit, medium to full body, and a great finish, it should be snatched up by savvy readers.

Our 8th Annual Champagne Tasting was a resounding success.

Thank you to everyone who attended. To all the reps who participated and helped out! Thanks again to Chef Lou from Annie Gunns, you truly outdid yourself once again.

To all who couldn’t attend, we have plenty more bubbles to go around for the holidays. Please come up and see us!!

2015 Domaine La Barroche – Chateauneuf du Pape

A Top-Notch Chateauneuf at a reasonable price!

At $50/bottle, Domaine La Barroche is one of the new superstars in the Chateauneuf du Pape appellation. This is due entirely to recent changes in their wine-making and vineyard management techniques. But the truth is, Domaine La Barroche has a  long history in the Southern Rhone Valley as they are one of the older properties in the Chateauneuf du Pape!

2017 Montsecano Refugio Pinot Noir

The Casablanca Valley in Chile is a place that is still shrouded in mystery to the American wine drinker. For a country that is known for its dark/brooding reds (Cabernet and Syrah), some of the best values can be found in the coastal areas that are more known for their aromatic Whites and Pinot Noir.

At 33 degrees South, the Casablanca Valley is the much closer to the equator that every other major Pinot Noir growing region in the world. The Valley is oriented East-West and sucks in cool air from the ocean and the arctic ocean currents. This makes the perfect conditions for growing Pinot Noir.
